Maxillary Procedures

Similarly for posterior superior blocks for upper molars, middle superior blocks of bicuspids and posterior palatine blocks.

Mandibular Blocks

Two injections prior to deep needle insertion for mandibular blocks will eliminate pain from the needle and fluid pressure.

SPECIFICATION

  1. Medicine Chamber Capacity: 4 cc
  2. Velocity of Jet: 0.1cc per shot
  3. Penetration:2 -6mm depth below epithelium

FILLING

After sterilizing the instrument unscrew knurling nut and pull medicine chamber & head assembly downwards with a to & fro movement. Fill to within 1/4 inch of top of medicine chamber. For this remove chamber & head assembly entirely or lower this about 1/2 inch and fill through aperture on side of instrument using syringe. The latter method is advised when transferring contents of a phial(to prevent any glass particles entering and possibly blocking jet orifice). Now replace medicine chamber & head assembly and tighten the nut.

While loading or unloading the medicine in the instrument, it must be done with the instrument held vertically, its nozzle pointing downward. Activate loading lever & discharge until a full jet spray is produced. Instrument must be held vertical each time the loading lever is actuated to charge the syringe.

PROCEDURE

Place the open end of distance spacer over the area to be infiltrated and depress the plunger button. Distance spacer fit over jet nozzle to ensure correct spacing from skin and to shield the nozzle. Before each shot activate the loading lever to cock the instrument while it is held vertically. Upto 40 shots can be administer form one filling of medicine chamber, which should be topped up before it becomes full empty to avoid initial priming.

STERILIZATION

Sterilization can be done through autoclave, boiling or cold sterilization In case of autoclave the temperature should not exceed 130 C and the head assembly with medicine chamber should be removed before sterilization to avoid breakage

For cold sterilization Benzalkonium chloride or equivalent to which anti rust preparation has been added can be used.

Make sure during sterilization that no extraneous matter enters the instrument as this could clog/block jet orifice.

STORAGE

Do not leave medicine chamber filled overnight, Empty and rinse all parts in contact with injection solution with clear water.

After 500 shots or once a week remove head assembly flush with clean water and fire few times with distilled water.

Dry with hot air or air syringe and store in dry area after lubricating the loading lever and sides of plunger.

Note: Never cock (Loading lever) and fire when empty. All Product Specification are subject to change without prior notice.
